Mission

Black women are among the fastest-growing groups of entrepreneurs in the U.S. despite facing challenges such as limited access to capital and resources. Broadening this research, diverse innovators, are the engine behind the US economy. Through innovation and cultural belonging, entrepreneurship is a stimulus for community and social impact. The stories of the individuals reflective of this research were missing from the airwaves and rendered invisible. The faces, the journeys, and the hard lessons learned; none of it was shown on any platform, until Fresh Glass

In September 2022, the brazened stories of women and diverse business burst on the scene, coming to life on KPBS and PBS.Eighteen businesses, created or led by women, BIPOC, and LGBTQIA+ innovators, were featured, celebrating their respective journey and triumphs. After receiving two Emmy® nominations and one win for Magazine Program from the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, it was evident Fresh Glass is impactful, insightful, and a vivid example of unique flavors, captivating stories, and the entrepreneurial spirit of America’s tapestry.

Entering its second season, Fresh Glass, is headed to national syndication. Airing on KPBS, PBS, Create, and local PBS affiliates. I am excited for what the future holds and remain focused on the mission-to be the conduit to representation through storytelling, community engagement, and advocacy. Follow Fresh Glass on social media, share the show with your friends, and thank you for your support.
